| Following the huge success of the tomas® information CD, the Dentaurum Group is extending its excellent range of services for the tomas® anchorage system. Users can now order the first part of the two-part illustrated atlas, “Skeletal Anchorage”, free of charge.
The use of miniscrews as temporary and sole anchorage not only provides a very easy technique but also a vast range of treatment options. In this unique reference manual 40 virtual examples of application, developed and compiled by Dr Benedict Wilmes, Senior Consultant at the University Hospital, Düsseldorf, Germany, illustrate the diverse treatment options involving the use of tomas® pins.
The use of miniscrews as skeletal anchorage is divided into three main indication groups: - Active tooth movement - Passive stabilization - Preprosthetic treatment
For easier orientation each group is divided into subsections with a summary of individual examples according to the type of tooth movement required.
Not to be missed: As with any new treatment method, initially there is great interest in exchanging experiences and ideas. The 1st Ispringen Skeletal Anchorage Workshop is therefore to be held at Dentaurum on September 30, 2006. This is a training event for new and existing users of tomas® products with interesting presentations, practical workshops and an exchange of experiences among colleagues. Prof. Dr Axel Bumann from Berlin is the scientific director of the workshop.
More good news: The number of tomas® users is increasing on a daily basis and due to the great demand for the tomas® anchorage system prices for tomas® in some instances could be considerably reduced.
