5. Dentaurum Implants User Meeting

250 participants from home and abroad attended a further training course held at the CDC

15.11.2007
Numerous scientific lectures and hands-on workshops for the whole practice team - at its 5th User meeting (10.11.07 -11.11.07) Dentaurum Implants once again provided specially tailored advanced training subjects for dentists, dental technicians and qualified dental assistants.

After a welcoming address by Mark Stephen Pace, a member of the management board of the Dentaurum Group, the two-day advanced training course opened with a workshop on the CT-supported fabrication of planning templates, led by the specialists, Dr. Friedhelm Heinemann (Morsbach), MDT Eike Erdmann (Heiligenhaus) and graduate physicist, Armin Baumgartner (Munich). This workshop was followed by lectures given by the experienced implantologists, Dr. Joachim Hoffmann (Jena),  Dr. Wolfram Knöfler (Leipzig) and Dr. Manfred Sontheimer (Issing) on the practical management of complications in implantology practice.

In further workshops dental technicians were briefed by MDT Dirk Bachmann (Bruchsal) on the prosthetic design of the tioLogic® implant system and Angelika Frenzel (Chemnitz) provided the qualified dental assistants with valuable information on “prophylaxis for implant patients”.

The practical training part of the course was followed by numerous scientific lectures given by renowned experts. Prof. Dr. Werner Götz (University of Bonn) reported on pure research on bone remodelling and presented convincing case reports relating to that subject.

After an in-depth exchange of experiences between the participants, the focus then switched at the Ispringer Congress to innovative treatment methods used during the placement of dental implants. Dr. Friedhelm Heinemann, President of the German Society for Dental Implantology performed a live operation, using state of the art computer-controlled 3 D technology (“Navigation system for the mouth”). This system enables dentists to keep continuous track on screen of the drill’s location during preparation of the implant bed before the actual placement of the dental implant.
In this way, the system assists dentists to maintain the ideal position of the implant in the available space for an aesthetically perfect and functionally ideal dental restoration.

Once again, the CDC, Dentaurum Group’s advanced training centre, proved to be an excellent venue, thanks to its ideal infrastructure, which includes a modern operating unit, several dental laboratories, simultaneous interpreting facilities and a highly competent and well-coordinated team.

The first instructive day of advanced training was rounded off by an entertaining evening programme in the CCP (Congress Centre Pforzheim). Over dinner Rinaldo, the clown, “spirited the guests away” to a fantastic, colourful world of magic and excitement, after which the guests danced till the small hours of the morning to the music of “Lady Sue and the Lounges Princes”.

The user meeting was rated as highly successful by the participants. This proves once again that Dentaurum Implants does not “just” provide excellent products but also provides a competent and first-class service, proving beyond doubt how much Dentaurum Implants values its customer as long-term partners.
