| More than 10 years ago the management of the DENTAURUM Group set a new course for the future of the company by supplying prosthetic products from root to crown. As part of this plan the French firm Sofraced (near Angers) was integrated into the company group in December 1994. Since then specialist international teams in France and Germany have been developing ceramic products and the necessary innovative product technology for the DENTAURUM group. There are about 15 companies in the world with the know-how required to develop and manufacture bonding ceramics. Sofraced, a Dentaurum group company, has been involved for many years in developing unique dental ceramic technology, which ensures that Triceram® special ceramic for titanium and zirconia as well as CARMEN® and CCS metal bonding ceramics are the most reliable and highest quality ceramics of their type. A team of material scientists, biomaterial engineers, dental technicians and qualified production specialists from the Dentaurum group continually ensure that the latest material technology, the result of collaboration with universities and external dental laboratories, is incorporated in our products and that production quality is of the highest standard.
Continuous development of the product range
CARMEN®, one of the first synthetic leucite glass dental ceramics, was introduced with great success in 1996. CARMEN® is the classic synthetic leucite glass ceramic among the many new types of ceramic worldwide. Three years later in 1999 following years of research, Triceram® special ceramic for facing titanium and zirconia was put on the market with outstanding success. In recent years both CARMEN® and Triceram® dental ceramics have been continuously developed and improved with product components. The two ceramic systems also fulfil the very highest standards of aesthetics in comparison with international competitors. The latest ceramic system is the COMPACT CERAMIC SYSTEM, abbreviated to CCS, which represents a simple, cost-effective technique for producing restorations of the highest quality.
The CCS provides a well-structured ceramic range based on less than 50 product components. Triceram®, CARMEN® and the new COMPACT CERAMIC SYSTEM dental ceramics are supplied exclusively by DENTAURUM.
